Overall The 'Index Templates' are the templates to display the page design, for example, a template with one sidebar on the left, a template with no sidebar, a template with two sidebars, etc. This 'Index Templates' will be available when you are creating a new page, all this designs are stored in one file called 'index_templates.tpl' under different template codes.
(See 'General Usage > Templates' for more information).
Items
Title of the template: This will be the title to display when selecting a template when you create a page.
Description of the template: This description will appear when selecting a template when you create a page.
File of the preview: This image will be the one showing along with the description and title of the template.
Template Mark: This will be the template code where the code of the template goes.
Enabled: This will disable or enable the template.
